Hey XT2 folks - another early access release for you 
We’ve also released a dev diary outlining the changes - tl;dr:
- There’s a breaking change on the tx-log, you’ll need to re-import your data. As far as we know, there’s nobody who has production data in XT2 yet, and we’ll keep running with this assumption for the time being unless we hear otherwise - give us a shout if this isn’t the case.
- Performance: bottom line is that these changes make transaction submission ~3x faster, indexing ~2x faster, and OLAP queries ~40% faster.
- Overall, this makes us 10-12x faster than XT1 for ingest, and ~8x on our OLAP benchmark - even after the XT1 performance improvements between 1.22 and 1.24. There’s more work to come on the OLTP benchmarks, but we’re getting there, and we’ve got plenty of headroom - I’ll share those when the numbers are more favourable
- There’s an online playground available at http://fiddle.xtdb.com.
- We’re currently working on interoperability with common SQL tools, piggybacking on the Postgres wire protocol - aiming initially for psql and Metabase support.
